The Bottom Line on Timing Out With A Live Connection

If you have an adequate Internet connection while playing a hand, something the server technology can readily detect, but fail to act within the total allotted time - usually about thirty seconds - expect your hand to be whisked away as though you'd folded, and to have the games programming automatically declare you "sitting out." Should this happen before you've called all bets, you'll also lose all rights to the pot - even if you would have had the best hand at showdown. We think it's only right: We applaud this new policy that puts the kibosh on all-in abusers.

Remember: At most sites, act promptly when you have a live games connection or be prepared to forfeit the entire pot!
