One seemingly countable but highly suspicious site is US Sports Casino at <>. It offers excellent rules, even limited early surrender, and deals three of four decks, which is highly desirable. Most interesting of all is that it has a little graphic displaying the exact number of cards left in the shoe. This is the sort of information that only card counters care about, and US Sports Casino goes out of its way to tell them. In addition, the software is not known to be used anywhere else and is thus probably proprietary, meaning the company had it built to its own specifications.

A correspondent of mine reports that he carefully recorded 100 complete shoes at US Sports Casino. He found that 65 percent of shoes ended on a positive count and 35 percent finished negative. The highest positive running count (using the Zen Count) was +66; the lowest -22. These figures have an important implication; he played at a strong disadvantage most of the time. If a shoe ends on a positive count, it means that many tens and aces (which are counted as negatives) did not come out. Therefore, the player did not benefit from them and was at a greater than usual disadvantage. The US Sports Casino appears too good to be true.

The beauty of online poker games is that on the surface it is a game of utter simplicity, yet beneath the surface it is profound, rich, and full of subtlety. Because online poker games basic rules are so simple, anyone can learn online poker games in a few minutes, and novice players may even think they're pretty good after a few hours. From the expert's point of view, the veneer of simplicity that deludes so many players into thinking they're good is the profitable side of the games beauty. It doesn't take long for pool players or golfers to realize they're outclassed and to demand that a match be handicapped, but losers in online poker games return to the table over and over again, donating their money and blaming their losses on bad luck, not bad play
